It is a result of the country’s main gateway’s decision to progressively phase out turboprop operations.

According to Cebgo (DG), a subsidiary of low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific (CEB), it will move another pair of routes from Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) later this year.

Effective October 26, 2025, the Manila-Naga (DG 6117/18) and Manila-San Jose (5J 513/514) services will cease operations.

These will be relocated to the Clark International Airport (CRK), as the new Clark-Naga (DG 6129/6130) and Clark-San Jose (DG 6339/6340) routes.

From August 28 to 31, CEB passengers may book flights from Clark to Naga and San Jose for as low as PHP 1 one-way base fare, exclusive of fees and surcharges, with travel period until March 31, 2026,” Cebu Pacific added.

The airline also added that the Manila-Naga service will also be reduced to once a day from its current twice daily flights.

Meanwhile, passengers affected by this transfer will be notified in the coming days and will also be provided with the options of free rebooking, storing the amlunt to their travel fund, or a full refund to their tickets.

The Manila Slot Coordination Committee had previously mandated companies with turboprop planes to gradually phase its operations out of the Manila airport, which had already begun with the initial 30% reduction of flights in late March.

It is part of the bigger plans to accommodate more flights and much larger planes per hour to 48, up from the current 40.

Turboprop, a type of aircraft that Cebgo uses, typically carries only around 60 passengers.

Aside from Cebgo, flag carrier Philippine Airlines had also disclosed their plans to move some of their turboprop operations to Clark by October.
