It has been awhile since they were last seen on the show.
On Thursday, August 21, comedic duo MC Muah and Lassy Marquez returned to ABS-CBN’s noontime variety program ‘It’s Showtime,’ three months after they became missing-in-action amidst a rumored rift with main host Vice Ganda.
During the opening spiels, the duo made a simple “what’s up, madlang people?” greeting to the audience, before shortly bantering with their fellow co-hosts.
Aside from that, they also participated host players in the new game segment, ‘Laro Laro Pik,’ but were both eliminated later on.
Their re-appearance on the Kapamilya noontime show comes more than a month since MC Muah was reported to have made amends with the Vice Ganda.
During which, he also came back to the Vice! Comedy Club after his long absence, and even had a set with Vice, along with fellow comedians like Iya Minah and Divine Tetay.
Following that, the MC and Lassy were seen together with Vice anew at the recent ‘Super Divas: The Concert,’ where they respectively portrayed President Bongbong Marcos and ex-President Rodrigo Duterte in one of the skits.
Rumors about the rift between the three comedians emerged after a vlog was uploaded on Vice Ganda’s YouTube channel.
At one point in the video, Vice reprimanded MC after the former was “pissed off” by the latter’s actions, specifically for making them wait during meals and bonding sessions.
They were then able to settle the dispute and were seen hugging in the same clip. However, that segment caused a stir among netizens, who have shared mixed reactions about the incident.
While they were not present in the noontime show and the comedy club, MC and Lassy remained active online and continued to film vlogs with another comedian, Chad Kinis, through the YouTube channel Beks Battalion.
Since then, the duo and Vice have remained mum on the issue and the reason behind their non-appearance on TV and the bar.
