On Wednesday, July 30, top Filipino music acts Sarah Geronimo and SB19 finally unveiled their newest collaboration.

Titled ‘Umaaligid,’ the track was first released at midnight and was written by award-winning composer Thyro Alfaro and the P-pop band’s member Pablo Nase’s brother, Josue.

Aside from them, Pablo, Sarah, along with KUYA and adamjosh were credited as producers of this powerhouse collab song.

Accompanying the new single is the 10-minute revenge-cum-crime thriller music film that was conceptualized by Sarah published at noon on the same day.

In the said video, which has amassed over 190,000 views within six hours after it was uploaded onto YouTube, sees the Popstar Royalty and the Kings of P-pop shed their glamorous titles to act as suspects.

While this is the latest team-up between Sarah and SB19, with their previous work being the ‘Ace Your World’ in 2023, it is also a first in its own right.

This, as ‘Umaaligid’ serves as the inaugural release of the newly-established G Music record label of Sarah Geronimo with her husband, actor-entrepreneur Matteo Guidicelli.

Prior to ‘Umaaligid,’ the Popstar Royalty spent 2023 releasing music after music, with singles such as ‘Alam’ and ‘Hangganan’ (with John Roa), ‘Habang Buhay,’ ‘Sa Paglayag,’ ‘My Mind’ (with Billy Crawford), and ‘Treading Water’ (with Bamboo).

As for the P-pop Kings, they are currently staging their ‘Simula At Wakas’ world tour, the namesake of their most-recent album that carries the hit songs ‘DAM,’ ‘Dungka,’ and ‘Time’.
