For the second time in a week, Korean supserstar Cha Eunwoo shared online another set of pictures showing his preparations for his enlistment in the mandatory military service of home country, South Korea.
In his Instagram post, which has received over 1.7 million likes as of writing, the 28-year-old actor-musician was seen sporting a military buzz cut after undergoing another haircut session.
He was also seen in the same set of photos to have bonded with his fellow ASTRO members MJ, Jinjin, and Sanha, as well as late member Moonbin’s sister Moon Sua of the girl group Billlie, and with his pet Dongdongie.
Meanwhile, through his personal YouTube channel, Eunwoo also went live on Sunday evening to interact with his fans worldwide, where he first debuted his new look.
Last May, his parent agency Fantagio disclosed that Eunwoo received a final acceptance notice from the Military Manpower Administration, thereby approving his application to join the Army Military Band.
But due security concerns, the management has decided to keep Eunwoo’s send-off event a private gathering.
“To prevent safety accidents due to congestion on the day of enlistment, the location and time of Cha Eun Woo’s enlistment will be kept private, and there will be no separate events held.”
Fantagio then asked for fans’ continued support and encouragement for Cha Eun Woo as he fulfills his military duty and returns in good health.
With this development, Eunwoo is set to become the second member of the band to enlist, with the eldest member MJ having completed his service in 2023.
The singer-actor has since completed filming the Netflix show ‘The WonderFools’ with Park Eun-bin and has been confirmed to take on his first lead role in a movie through the film ‘First Ride.’
Recently, he held his ‘The Royal’ fan meeting in Seoul, South Korea, which served as his farewell event to fans before enlisting and going on-hiatus for almost two years.
After that successful event, Fantagio confirmed that he is preparing for his sophomore album, although a release date has not yet been determined at the moment.
