Netizens hailed this as an indirect take on a recently-viral social media post.

Netizens hailed this as an indirect take on a recently-viral social media post.

On Instagram, actress-comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto uploaded a short clip of her while drinking coffee inside her condominium unit.

During which, she acted like a “wise philosopher” when she dropped some of her coffee-related jokes.

In the caption, she narrated, “It’s still raining outside so I’m stucked here in [the] condo drinking coffee.

She continued, “In times like these, dat we can’t go out, coffee is my perfect companion coz we are both GROUNDED.”

And I prefer my coffee to be MOCHA flavor. So it’s safe to say that I’m living La vida MOCHA. But later I will have LATTE. Coz we all know that it’s better LATTE than never,” Peachy added.

To end it on a high note, she said, “And on my birthday I will have frappe. And then I will greet myself a FRAPEE birthday!

The post has since gained reactions from her followers, including fellow artists such as Amy Perez, Elisse Joson, and Chie Filomeno.

Meanwhile, other social media users were quick to connect Rufa Mae’s reel with a recent viral post, especially when she used the line “in times like these.”

Netizens linked it with the now-deleted post of content creator Zac Alviz, which drew flak online after it was deemed insensitive by the public.

The said post read, “In moments like this, dun mo masasabi na worth it ‘yung condo investments mo. Ang daming binabaha, may tulo sa kisame, lumilipad ‘yung bubong. Pero ‘pag high-quality condo, in most cases, sara mo lang bintana mo, okay ka na. Resume Netflix na ulit.”

Alviz has since expressed his apology, with a part of his lengthy statement being as follows: “I want to sincerely apologise for what I said in my recent post. It was insensitive and irresponsible, especially given the situation so many are going through right now.”
