It is the final film in the trilogy.
On Friday, July 4, movie production company TBA Studios revealed the official poster and playdate for ‘Quezon,’ the historical biopic depicting the life of late President Manuel L. Quezon.
Directed by Jerrold Tarog, who was also at helm of the two prior installments in the franchise, ‘Heneral Luna’ and ‘Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral,’ it will be hitting theaters nationwide on October 15, 2025.
Chosen to portray the President, who served the Philippines from 1935 to 1944, is Jericho Rosales—who will be making his big screen comeback after more than six years.
His previous big screen project was the 2018 Metro Manila Film Festival entry ‘The Girl In The Orange Dress’ with Jessy Mendiola.
Apart from Jericho, also confirmed as cast members for the movie are Karylle Tatlonghari-Yuzon—who will star as his other half, Aurora Quezon—and Benjamin Alves as the younger version of Manuel Quezon.
Mon Confiado will also reprise his role as Emilio Aguinaldo, with Romnick Sarmenta doing Sergio Osmeña and JC Santos as Manuel Roxas.
The first flick in the bayaniverse franchise, ‘Heneral Luna’ topbilled by John Arcilla, broke records in 2015 when it became the highest-grossing historical movie in the Philippines, hitting PHP256 million in the box-office.
