Offering a direct link for passengers in the northern parts of Luzon to the beautiful beaches of the Palawan town.
Last Sunday, March 30, leading Filipino budget carrier Cebu Pacific (CEB) officially debuted its Clark–El Nido route.
Passengers on the inaugural flight were greeted with giveaways upon arrival at El Nido Airport, where CEB hosted a brief ceremony to celebrate the milestone.
The event was attended by ASec Regional Director Roberto Alabado III, AirSwift President Fely Salvador, Ayala Land Estates Vice President Cris Zuluaga, El Nido Acting Municipal Administrator Engr Raul Maximo and El Nido Tourism Officer Shirlette Sumayo and
During the launch event, CEBGO President and CEO & Cebu Pacific Chief Corporate Affairs Mike Shau said, “For years, El Nido has been a dream destination, yet for many, reaching it has been a challenge. Today, that changes. With this direct flight from Clark International Airport, we are removing barriers, connecting more travelers to this breathtaking paradise, and opening up new opportunities for tourism, business, and local economic growth.”
With the addition of the new route and the integration of AirSWIFT flights into CEB’s network, the airline will now link El Nido to multiple parts of the country.
AirSWIFT was acquired by Cebu Pacific from the Ayala group in late 2024.
The list include daily flights to and from destinations like Bohol, Boracay, Clark, Cebu, Coron (Busuanga), and Manila — where it mounts 7 daily flights.
Aside from El Nido, CEB also launched flights from Clark to Coron (Busuanga), Masbate, and Siargao, reinforcing its commitment to improving connectivity and strengthening Clark International Airport’s position as Central Luzon’s gateway to the best Philippine and international destinations.
It also follows the decision of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila to gradually phase out flights using turboprop planes in its airport.
“Cebu Pacific’s strategic expansion at Clark International Airport reinforces Clark’s role as a key economic driver. Enhancing connectivity to key domestic and international destinations will not only boost tourism but will also serve as a strong magnet for high-impact investments and employment opportunities for the region,” said BCDA President and Chief Executive Officer Joshua M. Bingcang.
CEB currently flies to 37 domestic and 26 international destinations spread across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
