The noontime ‘Bulagang’ was reunited during the celebration.
In a series of photos uploaded Instagram on Monday, March 3, Ryzza Mae Dizon of the TV5 noon show ‘Eat Bulaga’ shared snaps from the recent birthday celebration of her fellow ‘Dabarkad,’ Maine Mendoza.
In the said gallery, Ryzza gave her followers a peek into the happenings of the special night, eventually revealing a surprise to many in the fourth photo.
Spotted in the intimate occasion was former ‘Eat Bulaga’ mainstay and Maine’s partner in the ‘AlDub’ love team, Alden Richards.
The ‘Asia’s Multimedia Star’ was also photographed, although partially, in other images of Ryzza taken during the event.
The still photos marked the first time that Alden was publicly seen hanging out with Maine, along with the rest of ‘Eat Bulaga’ after the show’s departure from GMA-7 after a dispute with ex-producer TAPE, Inc. and moved to TV5 in 2023.
Alden is a contract star of the network, under the talent management arm Sparkle GMA Artist Center.
Meanwhile, also present in the celebration of Maine’s 30th birthday are some of her closest family and friends, led by her husband, Rep. Arjo Atayde.
Co-hosts Vic Sotto, Pauleen Luna, Tito Sotto, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Miles Ocampo, Jose Manalo, and Allan K, along with Oyo Sotto, Kristine Hermosa, Maja Salvador, and Ciara Sotto, were in the party as well.
Maine Mendoza joined ‘Eat Bulaga’ in July 2015 as the fictional character Yaya Dub for the segment ‘Problem Solving.’
During a split-second magic that month, the team-up between her and Alden, called AlDub, was formed and gave birth to the iconic ‘KalyeSerye’ portion, which brought ‘Eat Bulaga’ to a historic 50% TV rating during the ‘Tamang Panahon’ concert in October 2015.
She then ventured into acting, bagging roles in the movies ‘My Bebe Love,’ ‘Imagine You and Me,’ ‘Jack Em Popoy Puliscredibles,’ ‘Isa Pa With Feelings,’ the television series ‘Destined To Be Yours,’ and sitcom ‘Daddy’s Gurl.’
