Singer-songwriter Taeyang of the popular Korean boy band BigBang is in the Philippines today for his solo concert.
The event, which is the final stop of the K-pop superstar’s ‘The Light Year’ tour, will be staged at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on Saturday, February 22, 2025.
This event will mark Taeyang’s comeback to the country after his last visit in 2017 for his previous ‘White Night’ concert tour.
Prior to Manila, ‘The Light Year’ series had already taken place in South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Australia, and the countries of Malaysia and Thailand in Southeast Asia.
Taeyang made his debut as one of the five original members of BigBang in 2006.
The band is known for their songs like ‘Day By Day,’ ‘Fantastic Baby,’ ‘Bang Bang Bang,’ and ‘FXXK IT,’ among many others.
While remaining a member of the team, the idol made his debut as a soloist in 2008 and went on to release tracks like ‘Wedding Dress,’ ‘I Need A Girl,’ ‘Ringa Linga,’ and ‘Eyes, Nose, Lips’.
In April 2023, he dropped the extended play titled ‘Down To Earth,’ which carries the songa ‘Vibe’ that featured BTS member Jimin and ‘Seed’.
