It also marked the first time that the celebrity wrote something on her account in years.
Through a post on X, formerly Twitter, award-winning actress and philanthropist Angel Locsin assured her fans that she had recovered her account on Wednesday, January 15.
Locsin fell victim to a hacking incident, which led to her page uploading various content that worried her fans.
“Hello everyone, long time no chat. I just wanna say I have recovered my X account (totoo na to, pramis) Thank you sa mga tumulong and X for helping. I miss you all and ingat lagi,” she wrote.
Her followers did not immediately believed her, and asked her to tag her husband Neil Arce to confirm the retrieval of the account.
In a separate post, Angel tagged Neil and said: “Mahal ko, paki-confirm.”
This was then verified by Arce, who simply responded: “account recovered!”
The announcement of Angel’s recovery has caused her fans to convey their messages toward the film and TV star, which has been on-hiatus from public commitments since 2022.
“Lumabas ka na please, Ms. Gel. Sobrang nangingulila na kami sayo,” one fan wrote.
While ABS-CBN writer Darla Sauler shared, “[m]ahal ka namin! We miss you sobra.”
Some of Angel’s most-notable projects are the popular television programs ‘Mulawin,’ ‘Darna (2005),’ ‘Majika,’ ‘Lobo,’ ‘Imortal,’ ‘The Legal Wife,’ ‘La Luna Sangre,’ and ‘The General’s Daughter.’
She also made her mark in local cinema, having starred in the blockbuster movies ‘One More Try’ and ‘Four Sisters And A Wedding,’ among others.
Prior to her break, Angel wed cinematographer Neil through a civil ceremony in 2021, while she did the public service show ‘Iba ‘Yan’ on the Kapamilya Channel.
