The singer made her debut back in 2007 as one of the nine original members of legendary K-pop girl group Girls’ Generation, also known as SNSD for their local name Sonyeoshidae.
The group was launched with their iconic debut single ‘Into The New World,’ which was later followed by the likes of ‘Kissing You,’ ‘Gee,’ ‘Oh!,’ ‘The Boys,’ ‘I Gotta Boy,’ ‘Mr. Mr,’ ‘Lion Heart,’ and ‘Party.’
After releasing their 10th anniversary album ‘Holiday Night,’ consisting of singles ‘Holiday’ and ‘All Night,’ the group went on hiatus and later saw the formation of the sub-unit ‘Oh! GG,’ where Taeyeon is also a part of, in 2018.
In 2022, the eight current members reunited for their 15th anniversary album ‘Forever 1.’
Meanwhile, Taeyeon began her solo music career after debuting with the single ‘I’ in 2015.
She went on to drop popular songs like ‘Rain,’ ‘Why,’ ’11:11,’ ‘Fine,’ ‘Something New,’ ‘Four Seasons,’ ‘What Do I Call You,’ ‘Weekend,’ and ‘INVU.’
Last November, she released her extended play ‘Letters To Myself,’ which includes the namesake carrier single.
