Last Saturday, December 7, the coronation night for Miss Intercontinental 2024 was held in Egypt, with over 50 candidates from all over the world vying for the crown.
By the end of the competition, the Philippines’ representative, Alyssa Marie Redondo, managed to finish as the second runner-up, and won the Best in Swimsuit and Power of Beauty award.
In her Instagram post, the beauty queen shared that her Miss Intercontinental placement “is an incredible achievement, especially as my first international competition! I truly hope I’ve represented my country well.”
She also wrote that “[b]eyond the crowns, I’m leaving with priceless friendships from around the world. All the hard work has truly paid off and I’m excited to see what the future holds.”
Puerto Rican delegate Maria Cepero was crowned Miss Intercontinental 2024, while Georgette Musrie Efesla from Venezuela was named first runner-up.
