2024 is truly the year of the ‘Nation’s Girl Group.’
This week, two streaming platforms released year-end statistics, with each disclosing the feat achieved by P-pop girl group BINI this year.
According to music streaming app Spotify in its ‘2024 Wrapped’ chart, the 8-member team dethroned OPM band Ben&Ben as the top group in the Philippines.
They also ranked in other lists, placing second in Top Local Artists, fourth in Top Artists, and fifth in Top Songs for the smash hit single ‘Pantropiko.’
Meanwhile, video-sharing platform YouTube revealed on Thursday, December 5, that BINI’s other major breakthrough song, ‘Salamin, Salamin,’ is the most-watched music video in the Philippines in 2024.
Coming in at number 2 in the list is their other song, the English-language track ‘Cherry On Top,’ with the official lyric video for ‘Salamin’ sitting at the eighth spot.
These back-to-back achievements come after their highly-successful sold-out three-night ‘Grand Biniverse’ concert at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
During which, BINI also announced their next projects, led by their next single titled ‘Blink Twice’ that will be released in early 2025.
Aside from that, their management label Star Music has also revealed that the 8-member P-pop group is will be taking on the world’s largest indoor arena, the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.
This is for the staging of the ‘Grand Biniverse: Valentine’s Repeat’ concert on February 15, 2025.
Composed of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena, BINI debuted in June 2021 with the song ‘Born To Win.’
