It will be a tri-weekly flight to and from both cities.
Canadian flag carrier Air Canada has announced the upcoming launch of direct, non-stop flights between the Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) in Manila.
The thrice-a-week service will commence on April 2, 2025, with the airline deploying three of its Boeing 787-9 planes.
“The Philippines is an important market reflecting longstanding family ties between our two countries with growing business connections and tourism opportunities,” Executive Vice President of Revenue and Network Planning Mark Galardo said.
Schedules have also been revealed, with the flight AC17 from Vancouver to Manila departing every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, while the return AC18 flight leaves the Philippines’ capital on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Additional flights will also be added come May 1, 2025.
Air Canada’s Vancouver-Manila route is the flag carrier’s 12th in its transpacific network, which connects its home country to destinations like Singapore, Thailand, Japan, and South Korea.
