Jamela Villanueva uploads screenshots of alleged convos between ex-beau Anthony Jennings, Maris Racal

This comes a few days after the actor’s confirmation about their status.

On Tuesday, December 3, through a series of Instagram stories, Jamela Villanueva, the ex-partner of rising star Anthony Jennings, uploaded her “side of the story.”

She pertains to the recent confirmation made by Jennings about their relationship, where the actor disclosed to the media that they are no longer together.

THE STORIES

In the first slide, Villanueva wrote that she has been trying to hold herself back from doing a tell-all, “[b]ut after hearing all the things being said about me — about my character, my intentions, and even my family — I can’t stay silent anymore.”

She added, “I’m not here to relive the past or cause more pain. I just need to share my truth. There’s only so much silence a person can bear when rumors twist the truth. I’m sharing this because I need to set the record straight — not to create more drama, but because I deserve to be heard like anyone else.”

“I’m grateful that Anthony [Jennings] finally chose to speak the truth because I had been carrying the weight of it all on my own for so long,” Villanueva shared in the second slide.

But she immediately gave a hint of what was to come in a following paragraph, which is still directed to her ex-boyfriend: “When Maris [Racal] came into the picture, I was genuinely happy for you both. I even chose to be supportive, despite the red flags that I couldn’t ignore. I respected your craft. I believed in you both. But betrayal like this cuts deep.”

In the next few photos, Jamela shared snaps and screenshots of the alleged conversations between the two actors starting from late June until September.

Villanueva also narrated the context of these convos between Jennings and Racal, which primarily occurred beyond their work on-screen.

In one of the images she shared an instance where the stars allegedly “made out,” while in the others, the two continued exchanging intimate messages.

After awhile, she said, it stopped and Jam’s relationship with Anthony continued.

But based on the timeline, Jamela also revealed that she and Anthony tried to patch things up after the latter flew to Italy to shoot scenes for the upcoming action series ‘Incognito.’

“After Palawan (filming), few days lang yung rest nila. Then they went straight to Italy na… Okay lang naman kami nung Italy [’cause] nag-c-call and update padin siya,” she wrote.

Adding, “May moment pa nga na nag-iyakan kami sa video call [because] we were really trying to figure out what was really going on, and I told him that I’d been sick for two weeks.”

Jamela said that upon his return from his work abroad, Anthony even accompanied her during her medical appointment.

Around that time, they “… were still talking things through, but hadn’t broken up yet. He kept reassuring me that everything was okay between us, and that he was just focused on doing his work.”

But a few days later, a viral birthday post became the tipping point, which was later followed by her discovery of the actor’s latest messages with his on-screen partner, Maris Racal.

“… diba he told me that they were going to stop things na between them as long as I made my account private and stayed quiet. But even then, they still couldn’t resist each other… He even assured me once again na magiging okay din ang lahat,” Jamela wrote beside the conversations she had with Anthony dated September 28.

On the same day, she saw the messages and photos of Jennings and Racal while inside the train and another on a plane during their work trip to Italy.

Villanueva later said that she “ended things with him (Jennings) as peacefully as I can, but I was hurt and devastated, hence the TikTok reposts,” acknowledging the viral incident where she shared a video containing cryptic quotes.

MESSAGE TO ANTHONY

In the penultimate photo, Jamela shared an image of them together and a message directed to her ex-partner.

“For nearly 7 years, I’m so grateful for you being my rock, my bestfriend, and most especially my partner. The memories we’ve shared over those years are the ones I will always treasure and remember.”

She continued: “I know I’ve loved you enough to make you feel that way, and I could never think of anyone who would make me feel the way you do. You’re my first in so many things, and I’m glad I got to experience them with you.”

“I know we’ve had our ups and downs, but I also know how much you’ve taught me through it all,” before saying thanks to him for “being there” through hardest times of her life.

Villanueva also wished Jennings happiness, even though she never imagined that she had to let him go and find that on his own.

TO ALL WOMEN

In the last slide, she told women to not be like her as “it took me three long months to finally accept that I was just ignoring the reality of the situation.”

“I allowed this to happen because I thought it was the best way to support them both. Most importantly, I trusted my partner and her — as a woman.”

Jamela so thanked people who have “found strength… and whose hearts I’ve touched” with her story.

“So if you ever find yourself in the same shoes as me, I hope you can gather the strength to put yourself first and protect your peace,” she ended her lengthy post.

JENNINGS ON THE RELATIONSHIP

At the the moment, there is still no comment coming from Anthony Jennings, Maris Racal, or their management.

But in a prior interview, the actor had confirmed the break-up which he said occurred “months ago.”

“Ako ‘yung may pagkukulang do’n. Problema ko ‘yon and dapat ko ‘yon ayusin mag-isa,” he was quoted saying as he asked to spare Jamela on the matter.

The formation of the pairing between Anthony Jennings and Maris Racal can be traced back to the 2023 drama series ‘Can’t Buy Me Love,’ where they starred as the second lead couple SnoRene — which stands for their respective characters Snoop Manansala and Irene Tiu.

Their on-screen chemistry gained them a following, where they were later given the love-team name MaThon.

Since then, they have been seen together beyond the show, primarily in their few endorsements and the music video for Darren Espanto’s song titled ‘Iyo.’

Last Halloween, they even remade Nadine Lustre’s music video for the single ‘Paligoy-ligoy’ together.
