Mikee Cojuangco’s son Robbie Jaworski enters showbiz, signs with Star Magic

He has entered the very same industry that her mother once joined.

On Friday, November 22, ABS-CBN’s talent management arm Star Magic held a contract signing event and media conference to formally welcome to its stable Robbie Jaworski.

He is the eldest son of Mikee Cojuangco, former actress and incumbent member of the executive board of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and current Pasig City Vice Mayor Robert ‘Dodot’ Jaworski, Jr.

Robbie is also the grandson of none other than ‘Big J,’ Robert Jaworski, Sr., who was a former coach and player of the Ginebra San Miguel team in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).

In attendance during the contract signing event were ABS-CBN executives, namely COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes and Star Magic head Lauren Dyogi, and talent manager Girlie Rodis.

Vidanes and Dyogi warmly welcomed Jaworski as a Kapamilya, with the former sharing that she personally insisted the new artist’s family members to sign him, while the latter praised his dedication in attending workshops and other pre-showbiz preparations.

A video message from his parents — who were present at the venue, siblings, and people close to him, was also played during the said event.

“Throughout this whole process of integrating myself into [ABS-CBN], I have felt nothing but love… the values of pagiging isang pamilya,” Jaworski answered when he was asked about how he felt with the warm Kapamilya welcome he received.

“Although, naiintindihan ko naman po yung pressure na binibigay n’yo po sa akin, dahil syempre kailangan nating magbigay ng magandang deliverables. I feel all the love… support, and there is nothing more that I want to do than to connect with everyone, to do my best, and to make you all proud,” he added.

Robbie also thanked the Kapamilya bosses, and told them: “I know we’ve only just started, but you guys have touched my life very much.”

In the same event, Jaworski’s first project with ABS-CBN was also announced.

He was officially introduced as one of the new video jockeys (VJs) of the pay television music channel Myx.
