Karen Davila’s blooper on ‘TV Patrol’ goes viral

You definitely know it’s live television when you see one.

You definitely know it’s live television when you see one.

During the edition of ABS-CBN’s flagship newscast ‘TV Patrol’ on Monday, October 28, anchor Noli de Castro was reading his opening spiels when viewers caught a surprise.

His co-anchor, Karen Davila, was seen walking behind him while de Castro was introducing the night’s top story.

Davila was already midway when she noticed herself on the monitor and immediately went back to where she came from to exit the frame.

While it was happening, de Castro did not notice the blooper and finished presenting the introduction smoothly.

By the end of the newscast, the four main ‘TV Patrol’ anchors laughed at the unexpected caught-on-camera moment of Davila during the earlier part of the show.

“Ano dadaan ka ba?”, Noli jokingly asked Karen while Bernadette Sembrano imitated her walk.

“Unang-una, guys, sorry po ah. Sorry kanina at naging white lady ako sa likod ni Kabayan [Noli],”  Karen said in her message directed to the viewers.

She added, “Hindi po sinasadya ‘yun. Nangyayari po ang mga bloopers [at] hindi ako nag-iisa,” citing in jest another blunder involving Sembrano during an edition of ‘TV Patrol Weekend’ in 2015.

Karen Davila’s blooper has since made rounds on social media, with uploads of the clip from multiple accounts garnering a total of 2 million views on X, formerly Twitter.

In a tweet, Karen has also responded to one of the posts.

‘TV Patrol’ is the Philippines’ longest-running flagship primetime Filipino-language newscast, and currently airs every weeknight with Noli de Castro, Karen Davila, Bernadette Sembrano, and Alvin Elchico on ABS-CBN platforms, A2Z, and ALLTV, among others.
