Due to the effects of severe tropical storm Kristine, classes and government work have been suspended in many parts of the Philippines.
LUZON
For the second consecutive day, the Malacañang Palace has suspended classes for the entire Luzon on Thursday, October 24, 2024.
Also included in the order are government offices, with the exception of those involved in basic and health services and emergency response.
However, “[t]he suspension of work for private companies and offices is left to the discretion of their respective heads,”
This suspension notice covers the entirety of the National Capital Region (NCR), Regions I (Ilocos), II (Cagayan Valley), III (Central Luzon), IV-A (CALABARZON), IV-B (MIMAROPA), V (Bicol), and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).
VISAYAS AND MINDANAO
Apart from Luzon, several local government units (LGUs) have canceled classes in their respective localities.
