Team ‘AJT’ took a trip down memory lane for their performance.
On Thursday, October 24, ABS-CBN’s noontime show ‘It’s Showtime’ continued their week-long ‘Magpasikat’ special anniversary celebration, with hosts Anne Curtis, Jugs Jugueta, and Teddy Corpuz taking centerstage.
Anne started their act by dancing under the lights that symbolized “core memories” that were created by and with the noontime program.
Jugs and Teddy, known for being rockstars, did stunts before showing off their guitar skills and introducing their special guests: the ‘Nation’s Girl Group’ BINI.
The 8-member group, composed of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena, sang their 2022 single ‘I Feel Good’ with Anne Curtis.
AJT also presented stories from solid ‘Showtimers’ and program staffers who shared their favorite core memory of the show.
Afterwards, Anne did another acrobatic stunt with Jugs and Teddy singing their original composition telling that the show and the ‘Madlang People’ will hold onto one another and stay until the end.
“Huwag kang bibitiw, kapit lang nang mahigpit, sama-sama tayo hanggang sa dulo.”
Following them, Jhong Hilario, Jackie Gonzaga, and Cianne Dominguez will perform on the last day of ‘Magpasikat’ on Friday, October 25, with for the winners of the fifteenth edition going to be named on Saturday, October 26.
The ‘Magpasikat’ anniversary special began in 2010 as a way for the hosts of ‘It’s Showtime’ to express their talents and deliver spectacles for the ‘Madlang People.’
The 2024 edition is particularly historic for the program, as it is also the first time that the noontime show is celebrating the milestone on GMA-7.
‘Showtime’ began airing on the Kapuso network’s main channel in April 2024, more than nine months since it began airing on the secondary channel GTV.
Although, apart from the network, it is also available on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and ALLTV, on top of the digital platforms Kapamilya Online Live and iWantTFC.
