The leading daytime block is shaking things up come Monday.
Leading television network GMA is set to begin airing a revamped Afternoon Prime block starting Monday, October 21.
This, as the longest-running Kapuso drama series ‘Abot-Kamay Na Pangarap’ starring Jillian Ward, Carmina Villaroel, and Richard Yap is scheduled to conclude its successful two-year run on Saturday, October 19.
Taking over the 2:30 pm slot is ‘Lilet Matias: Attorney-at-Law’ top-billed by Jo Berry, which will also expand its broadcast schedule to Monday to Saturday after ‘It’s Showtime’ as a result of its transfer to the new time.
Moving to 3:20 pm from Monday is ‘Shining Inheritance’ of Connie Reyes, Kate Valdez, Kyline Alcantara, and Michael Sager.
As for the 4:00 pm time slot, it will be filled by new series ‘Forever Young’ featuring breakout child star Euwenn Mikaell in his first lead role.
‘Forever Young’ will tackle the life of Rambo Agapito, who has been diagnosed with hypopituitarism, which prevents him from developing physically the same way as his peers.
Hence, Euwenn will portray the 25-year-old Agapito as he rises from a simple citizen to the new mayor of the fictional town of Corazon.
After the dramas, ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’ will continue serving showbiz news and conversations with various personalities at 4:45 pm.
The new GMA Afternoon Prime line-up will kick off on Monday, October 21 at 2:30 pm after the Kapuso network simulcast of ‘It’s Showtime,’ which is scheduled to present its own ‘Magpasikat’ anniversary week-long special.
