Three years after making her official debut as a soloist.

On Tuesday, October 1, Blackpink member Rosé announced the upcoming release of her debut solo album titled ‘Rosie.’

Through her Instagram account, Rosé shared a lengthy message to her fans, and wrote: “I cannot believe I am finally announcing my first album release to you all.”

The K-pop star continued: “I remember last year as our year long tour ended, I found myself in a session out here in los angeles. That led on to a year of walking in and out of the studio, writing songs with songwriters and producers I’d met for the first time, trying to figure out the next chapter in my career.”

She added that she “fell asleep many nights feeling confused and lost,” but with the support of her friends, family, team, and fans, she is able tp announce the release of her album.

In the same caption, she revealed that ‘Rosie’ will be released on Friday, December 6.

Rosé debuted in the K-pop scene back in 2016 as one of the members of third-generation K-pop group Blackpink, along with Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa, under YG Entertainment.

They became well-known in their home country and abroad, thanks to their successive hit songs ‘Whistle,’ ‘Boombayah,’ ‘Playing with Fire,’ ‘As If It’s Your Last,’ ‘Ddu-du Ddu-du,’ ‘Kill This Love,’ ‘Lovesick Girls,’ ‘Pink Venom,’ and ‘Shut Down,’ among many others.

In 2021, she made her solo debut upon the release of her extended play titled ‘R,’ which includes the tracks ‘On The Ground’ and ‘Gone.’

Last June, Rosé joined YG Entertainment subsidiary The Black Label, which will manage her individual activities.

While Rosé and the other members have signed on with different agencies for their solo careers, they will remain part of YG for their group activities moving forward and in fact, will be promoting as a four-piece group anew in 2025.

Apart from her, fellow Blackpink members Jennie and Lisa have also previously announced the release of their own solo songs this October.
