It is the first five-star integrated resort in the city.

It is the first five-star integrated resort in the city.

On Saturday, May 25, Bloomberry Resorts Corporation (BRC) officially inaugurated its newest integrated resort property, Solaire Resort North in Vertis North, Quezon City.

It was opened by Bloomberry Resorts Corporation CEO Enrique Razon, President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, and Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte.

Located on a 1.5 hectare plot of land along EDSA, the Solaire Resort North complex houses 530 hotel rooms, a rooftop swimming pool, selection of restaurants that include Fresh International Buffet, Finestra, and Red Lantern, a four-level casino, among others.

Touted as the “first luxury and five-star integrated resort in Quezon City,” Razon divulged that the complex cost a whopping $1 billion (~Php 58 billion) to build.

The CEO of BRC also added that his company aims to capture the growing demand in the north, as more commercial and residential complexes are built in the surrounding districts and cities.

Meanwhile, Philippine President Marcos noted that the opening of the new IR will “play a very big part” in inviting more tourists to vist the country, which surged to more than 5.4 million in 2023, versus the almost 2.7 million arrivals in 2022.

Solaire Resort North is said to be employing 4,000 workers, which President Marcos said “will not only boost our local economy, but also empower our people to reach their full potential.”

For the government agencies, Marcos added that collections from the gaming operations of the casinos have helped fund programs of entities like Philhealth and the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), among others.

Solaire Resort North is the second Solaire-branded integrated resort of BRC.

In March 2013, they opened the first branch located on a 8.3 hectare land in Parañaque City’s Entertainment City district, near the Manila Bay.

The Solaire Resort and Casino complex in Parañaque has 800 rooms across its two phases, a nearly 200,000 square-foot casino, the more than 1,500-seater auditorium named ‘The Theater at Solaire,’ multiple dining options, luxury retail outlets branded as ‘The Shoppes,’ and more.

Aside from the two IRs, according to the about page in its official website, Bloomberry also has investments in South Korea via its subsidiary Solaire Korea Co., Ltd.
