The Korean actor is set to begin his mandatory service next month.
Last Wednesday, February 29, South Korean actor Song Kang’s agency Namoo Actors delivered an update regarding the ‘My Demon’ star’s military enlistment.
According to the management company, Song will enter service on April 2, 2024.
However, there will be no send-off ceremony done for the actor “to prevent safety problems on the site, so we would like to ask for your understanding,” the company told fans.
They then wish for “warm support and love for Song Kang in order for him to return in good health and matured outlook after his military service,” Namoo added.
The 29-year-old actor had his career beginnings through the 2017 series ‘The Liar and His Lover,’ before landing the MC position in the music countdown show ‘Inkigayo’ in 2018.
He then achieved his breakthrough after starring in the series ‘Love Alarm,’ where he was paired with actress Kim So Hyun.
He then went on to take lead roles in his succeeding projects, like ‘Navillera,’ ‘Nevertheless,’ ‘Forecasting Love and Weather,’ the recent hit drama ‘My Demon,’ and ‘Sweet Home,’ which will stream its newest season this year.
