Users report trouble accessing Meta’s social media apps Facebook, Instagram, Threads

Meta’s social media apps are down.

Meta’s social media apps are down.

On Tuesday, March 5, social media users began reporting through other social media platforms their troubles while using Meta’s social networking sites.

Meta owns major social media platforms Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Messenger, and WhatsApp, which cumulatively have billion users worldwide.

Currently, Trendrod can confirm that there are problems in accessing the first four social apps.

Likewise, Facebook’s connected app Business Manager, which is used for the management of pages is also currently down.

Over at X (formerly Twitter), Meta’s Director for Communications Andy Stone has confirmed the outage.

He adds that the social media giant is “working on this now.”

UPDATE: Facebook went back online at around 12:30 am (Manila time), while Instagram and Threads were restored at about 1:00 am.
