(JULY 4, 2023) Our national pole vaulter EJ Obiena is the first Filipino athlete to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
He made it after clearing 5.82m at the 2023 Bauhaus-Galan Stockholm Diamond League in Sweden yesterday, July 3.
The 2024 Olympiad will mark his second time to compete in the games, with his first being the 2020 Tokyo Games in Japan held in July 2021.
