The actress has not accepted the role yet.
(MAY 19, 2023) – During a briefing on Friday afternoon, Acting Chairman Don Artes of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, announced that the role of the agency’s spokesperson has been offered and accepted by actress Ria Atayde. According to Artes, Atayde’s status as a celebrity “would be an asset to the agency.”
Artes also cited Atayde’s educational background, whereby the actress is a communications degree graduate, as a reason for her selection for the job. The acting chairman also added that Atayde has accepted the offer and her name has since been submitted to President Marcos for approval.
Should she accept the job offer, Atayde is set to replace outgoing acting spokesperson Atty. Melissa Carunungan.
Just this week, Ria Atayde was announced as part of the cast for ABS-CBN and TV5’s upcoming collaboration series ‘Nag-aapoy na Damdamin.’ She is also part of the cast of ‘Cattleya Killer,’ which streams in June on Prime Video.
