The Nation’s Girl Group versus the Aces of P-pop
In the May 8, 2023 episode of ‘Family Feud’ on GMA, Kapamilya P-pop groups BINI and BTYO faced off for the chance to get the jackpot prize of Php 200,000. Since the gameplay only involves 4 members for each team, only select members from both groups were able to play.
Representing BINI were Jhoanna, Aiah, Stacey, and Maloi. The BGYO team, meanwhile, was composed of Gelo, JL, Akira, and Mikki.
In the first round, BGYO clinched the round and got 35 points.
At the end of the second round, BINI rebounded and overtook BGYO, 54 points to 35 points.
In round 3, BINI took their lead further after scoring a total of 242 points, while BGYO remained at 35 points.
Finally, in the ‘triple-money’ round, BGYO caught-up with BINI’s lead and ultimately won the game after scoring a total of 311 points.
In the jackpot portion, BGYO members Akira and JL (a.k.a. ToreMori) were the designated players. The last round is a race to get 200 points in total. Akira was the first to play and was given 20 seconds to answer. By the end of it, he got 102 points. JL then followed him. Prior to JL’s turn, host Dingdong Dantes reminded viewers that JL once joined Kapuso programs ‘The Clash’ and ‘Starstruck,’ with Dantes then expressing his happiness for JL’s achievements these days.
Back in the game, JL was given 25 seconds to answer and got… 122 points. At the end of the jackpot round, BGYO got 224 points and the team took home the Php 200,000 prize money. Php 20,000 of which will go to their chosen charity.
‘Family Feud’ is not the first time that the both group were seen on the Kapuso network. Just this year, the whole of BGYO was first invited as performers on the morning variety show ‘TikToClock,’ where they also played some games. In April, all 8 members of BINI also appeared in the same variety show.
