TAPE to reformat ‘Eat Bulaga’

One of the rumors has been proven true.

Dapitan Mayor Bullet Jalosjos, son of TAPE (Television and Prodiction Exponents), Inc. Chairman Romeo Jalosjos, said in an interview with PEP, that they will “present a new format [for Eat Bulaga] as agreed upon by the executives soon.”

Jalosjos, meanwhile, also denied rumors that they have talked to TV host Willie Revillame to front the new ‘Eat Bulaga’.

He also said that TAPE will clarify all the issues that the company and the show are facing through a press conference in the near future.

He also made no further statements with regards to the new format or the personalities that are going to be part of the new ‘Eat Bulaga’.

‘Eat Bulaga’ has been airing on the noontime slot since July 30, 1979. Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, are the longest-running presenters of the show and have been there from the very beginning. It also had shifted networks thrice, first airing on RPN-9 from 1979 to 1989, before moving to ABS-CBN in 1989, and later to GMA in 1995 where it remained on the station for 28 years.
