With the brand also celebrating its second anniversary in the country.
Two years after opening its first store in the Philippines, Australian home and lifestyle brand Anko is further accelerating its long-term growth in the country.
The brand is expanding its retail footprint from six to nine stores across key economic and residential districts before the end of 2026.
Confirmed to open in the coming days are two Southern Luzon stores, which are Ayala Malls Nuvali in Laguna on November 12 and Ayala Malls Evo City in Cavite on November 27.
These new stores mark the first time that tbe brand has established presence beyond Metro Manila since its expansion to the Philippine market in November 2024.
The strategic move into Laguna and Cavite by anchoring in master-planned residential estates and key commercial developments, Anko says it is able to deliver its value proposition directly to “where expanding Filipino families live, work, and build their homes.”
Meanwhile, Anko is also deepening its urban presence with a new store at Festival Mall in Muntinlupa on December 10.
It is also an equally remarkable expansion as Festival Mall, which is owned and operated by Filinvest Land, further diversifies the home and lifestyle brand’s retail partnerships alongside Ayala Land, Rockwell Land, and the Araneta Group.
The rapid network growth is anchored on Anko’s confidence in the Philippine market and beyond physical expansion, it noted that this rollout of these stores reflects “strong, sustained demand from Filipino consumers over the past two years.”
Furthermore, each new location will also generate local employment and support surrounding communities.
“Over the past two years, the response from Filipino families has exceeded our expectations and confirmed that our everyday low-price, quality-driven proposition truly resonates here,” said Arjun Puri, Chief Executive Officer of Anko Global.
He added, “Expanding from six to nine stores, including our first locations beyond Metro Manila, reflects our confidence in the market and our ambition to make Anko more accessible to customers.”
While the new store openings are timed ahead of the peak year-end retail season—when families refresh their living spaces, prepare for holiday gatherings, and shop for gifts—Anko stressed that its model goes beyond seasonal shopping.
The brand operatests on an everyday low-price strategy and its products are designed in-house and partners directly with manufacturers to keep pricing consistent and transparent year-round.
This approach, it told, lets value-conscious Filipino households confidently curate stylish, functional homes year-round, without waiting for periodic markdowns.
Among popular lines for local shoppers are its scented candles, kids’ toys, mini kitchen tools and appliances, beauty and personal care essentials, and budget-friendly home organization essentials.
“Our goal has always been to make stylish, functional home and lifestyle products accessible to more households close to home. Whether families are building out a new space, picking up daily essentials, or preparing their homes for special moments like the Christmas season, we want Anko to be a reliable partner in making everyday living brighter,” Puri added.
Anko was established in 2017 and is part of the Kmart Group, which includes Kmart Australia, Target Australia, and Anko Global, and is owned by Wesfarmers Ltd, one of the leading ASX-listed companies in Australia.
It was launched in the Philippines in November 2024 and offers on-trend product designs across categories such as homewares, bedding, toys, beauty, travel, and more.
Other Anko stores in Metro Manila include Glorietta 2, Alabang Town Center, TriNoma, Ayala Malls Feliz, Ayala Malls Manila Bay, and Gateway Mall 1.
