She is competing for the country’s third crown in the said pageant.
Reigning Binibining Pilipinas-Globe Sasha Lacuna has performed strongly at the preliminary and fast-track events of The Miss Globe, which happens in Thailand.
Foremost, she graced the national costume competition with a costume called “Ani ng Kasaganaan.”
The said piece showcases her home province, Tarlac’s abundant harvests, with a carabao headpiece paying homage to the “strength and resilience” of farmers.
That costume allowed her to land a spot in the Top 6, with Ecuador winning the said preliminary contest.
Meanwhile, Lacuna also wore a sparkly pink gown in the long-gown competition.
Meanwhile, she is also in the Top 10 of the fan voting mechanism, which will allow one candidate to earn the Miss Social Media Award and head straight to the Top 21 of the competition on Friday, November 7.
Voting will close on Friday at 12 noon (Philippine time).
Earlier, Sasha also secured a spot in the Top 12 of the Head-to-Head Challenge, while she was also included in the Top 25 of the Best in Talent competition.
Lacuna is running for the Philippines’ third crown at The Miss Globe, with the first two being won by Ann Colis (2015) and Maureen Montagne (2021).
