With the show being a major talking point on social media since its return in late October.
On Thursday, November 5, the production team behind the ABS-CBN Studios and GMA Network co-produced reality program Pinoy Big Brother: Collab 3.0 issued a statement.
The team emphasized in their communication that they uphold and protect the rights of housemates, especially in the context of their images, voices, and likeness being used.
“We do not tolerate the unauthorized creation, manipulation, or distribution of A.I. generated content that uses the likenesses of the PBB Collab 3.0 housemates,” the production team said.
They also stressed that no website, social media page, or individual gas been authorized to use, reproduced, or manipulate the images, voices, and liknesses of housemates.
“Furthermore, websites, social media pages, and profiles that use the Pinoy Big Brother brand, house, or liknesses of its housemates to distribute unauthorized AI-generated content or engage in content piracy will be reported to the appropriate platforms for action.”
To end, they called on the public to use technology responsibly and respect the rights and dignity of the housemates.
STAR MAGIC ISSUES STATEMENT ON SPECIFIC HOUSEMATES
Meanwhile, for its part, ABS-CBN talent management arm Star Magic issued its own statement condemning the online bullying, harassment, and personal attacks directed toward housemates, especially Cianne Dominguez and Shea Valerio.
The two have been receiving hate comments from multiple users on different platforms over clips from the episodes and live streams from inside the house that circulate on social media.
“While public opinions and criticisms are part of reality television, they should never be an excuse for hate or cruelty,” stressed the management company.
Thus, it encouraged viewers and online users to “practice responsible social media engagement and remember that differences in opinion should always be met with respect and compassion.”
