A new record that “caprures the honest stories of six youths.”
On Monday, November 2, Korean pop group TWS released their new single album entitled To Us.
According to their parent label Pledis Entertainment, this new music release features three tracks that have distinct colors that reveal the driving forces behind TWS today.
“Having once sung about the excitement of their first day at school, TWS now find themselves in the thick of an intense youth. While their drive to move forward remains as strong as ever, they sometimes face moments of hesitation that slow their pace, or days spent searching for answers they have yet to find,” the company shared in their press statement.
It continued, “Having grown stronger through countless challenges and trial-and-error, the members have poured the concerns and emotions they encountered along this journey into ‘TO US’—with complete, unvarnished honesty.”
Furthermore, in To Us, TWS shifts its focus from the trajectory of their spectacular growth to the inner voices that lie beneath it.
The lead track is called Call My Name, which is described as a “heart-stirring youth anthem that captures the sincere devotion (of thr team) to the stage and fans.
It explores the sentiment that having someone who believes in you provides the courage to face any situation.
Members Youngjae, Shinyu, and Dohoon participated in writing the lyrics, infusing their own genuine feelings into the song.
The team also collaborated with jazz pianist Yoon Seok-cheol, who further enriched the song’s emotional arc.
This commitment is expanded into even more dynamic imagery in the music video. TWS overcomes the limitations before them, one by one, savoring a thrilling sense of liberation at the end.
“A scene featuring the members scaling an exterior wall keeps viewers on the edge of their seats, while a group dance sequence set against an expansive cityscape delivers a refreshing catharsis,” the statement continued.
“By choosing to embrace excitement over fear—and finding joy in the act of taking on challenges—the group provides a powerful momentum for anyone standing at a new starting line.”
At present, the music video for Call My Name has been viewed more than 190,000 times on YouTube.
Meanwhile, the two other tracks are We Up, which expresses their “ambition to leap even higher, building upon the hard work and time invested behind the scenes,” and heavy, which is a track that “tenderly embraces those worn down by the weight of the world.”
TWS—which comprises members Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, and Kyungmin—debuted in 2024 with their chart-topping debut single Plot Twist, which is part of their first-ever EP, Sparkling Blue.
Following that, they released the second mini-album, Summer Beat!, in June 2024 and their first album titled Last Bell in November 2024.
In 2025, the group made back-to-back comebacks with the third mini-album Try With Us in April, which features the song Countdown as its lead track, followed by the mini-album play hard in October, which carried the viral single Overdrive.
