A powerful collaboration between two of showbusiness’ top leading men.
In an interview, Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes and the Ultimate Heartthrob Piolo Pascual confirmed that they are cooking up a new project that will delight their fans.
“Dong and I have been meeting for more than a year now, ” Pascual shared. “Since we are both busy, naka-block off ang mga dates when we’re working together. So, yes, we are working on something together.”
He also shared that it will be a movie, with them only awaiting exact filming days for the said project to be finalized. We’re working on it.
On the genre, Dantes did not reveal anything and instead said: “Basta maganda!”
Piolo also revealed that they are working with a “good director” for their first-ever acting stint together.
Although, the two matinee idols of their generation have previously worked on the comedy movie franchise Kimmy Dora. Piolo served as the film’s producer through his production company Spring Films, while Dingdong portrayed the character of Johnson.
Dingdong is currently seen every weeknight on the top-rating primetime action series The Master Cutter on GMA, where he portrays the central character Atoy.
The Kapuso Primetime King is also reuniting with his wife, Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera, on the big screen through Remember, which will screen in theaters starting November 11.
Meanwhile, Piolo was recently on the silver screen via the 2025 blockbuster movie Meet, Greet & Bye and the Metro Manila Film Festival entry Manila’s Finest.
The Ultimate Heartthrob is also part of the musical-variety show ASAP XP, which is a co-production between ABS-CBN Studios and TV5.
