Due to security measures that will be implemented for the high-level meeting between international leaders in the country.

Last Monday, October 26, the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) issued a statement regarding the measures that will be undertaken for the upcoming 49th ASEAN Summit, which will happen from November 16 to 18 in Manila.

The agency said, “the arrival of ASEAN delegates may necessitate temporary flight and airport operational adjustments, and enhanced security measures, which may affect airline flight schedules and airport operations.”

Thus, the move has since caused cancelation of flights at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to facilitate these flights that will carry leaders and their delegations to the three-day event.

CAB has said that affected passengers must be presented options such as a full refund, rebooking, or conversion of their airfare to a travel fund and allow it to be used for other flights in the future.

PHILIPPINE AIRLINES

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines has since announced their operational changes and disclosed the list of the affected flights across its network from Saturday, November 14 to 18, 2026.
