The singing competition champion is set to take on local and international stages in the coming weeks and months.
Ahead of the Eurovision Asia Song Contest, which will happen in Bangkok, Thailand this November 14, ABS-CBN gave a special send-off event for the country’s representative Carmelle Collado on Friday, October 30.
The singer, who will compete with the song Sobra-Sobra, was given a heartwarming send-off by her family, friends, and her fans.
In a mesaage, she expressed: “’Yung goal ko talaga is to leave the global audience with a deep sense of connection. Maiintidihan po sana nila na yung Filipino music is universally relatable.”
She also noted that it is her childhood dream to compete on the international stage—one that she has previously done with her 2019 World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) stint.
“Sa mga hindi nakakaalam, talagang international stage ang pinapangarap ko po. Lumaki ako na pinapanood ko yung mga Pussycat Dolls, Spice Girls, kasi po yan ang ipinapalabas ng nanay ko nung bata pa ako,” Carmelle shared.
Meanwhile, supporting Carmelle at the Eurovision Asia Song Contest are Sobra-Sobra songwriters Mat Olavides and Nica del Rosario, production head Jessamae Samson, stylist and creative director Ica Villanueva, and her ABS-CBN Music family led by the label’s key figures Roxy Liquigan and Jonathan Manalo.
“More than ABS-CBN, ito ay laban nating mga Pilipino. Lahat tayo, flag ng Philippines ang wine-wave natin dito. Nakakatuwa na si Carmelle ay representation ng isang empowered Filipina,” songwriter Jonathan Manalo said.
She also received messages from her The Voice Kids coach Bamboo and other former coach Apl.de.ap, BINI, and her fellow Eurovision Philippine finalists like Marielle Montellano and SAGA.
The Tawag Ng Tanghalan: School Showdown champion is set to compete against 10 other contestants who were also winners in their respective selection nights or were assigned the role of representing their countries.
Nyendra – Lhayi Semo (Bhutan), Aina Abdul (Malaysia), Junhee (South Korea), Thinia (Laos), MANG X DAOU (Thailand), Beatmosphere (Bangladesh), Tóc Tiên Pratik Himal Rai, Pratik Himal Rai (Nepal), Beck (Mongolia), and Monetrey (Cambodia).
The Eurovision Asia Song Contest 2026 will be aired in different countries in the region, with the aim of reaching more than 600 million people.
In the Philippines, it will air at 8:30 pm on ABS-CBN platforms led by ALLTV2, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and iWant. It will also be available on Myx and TFC.
UPCOMING SOLO CONCERT
Meanwhile, on the same evening Carmelle made a surprise announcement as she revealed the staging of her solo concert entitled Unleashed.
The show is set to happen on January 29, 2027 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City, with the exact details such as the seat map and ticketing information yet to be disclosed by organizers.
