Additional comfort for those who are traveling in the coming days.
In a social media post last Monday, October 26, the airport operator New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) shared a glimpse of the new bus gate at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2.
The new gate — which has 500 seats, charging stations, four departure gates and one arrival gate — will serve flights parked away from the terminal, with buses taking passengers to and from their planes.
“With all that extra room, T2’s other boarding areas will be less crowded too, making for a more comfortable wait wherever you board,” wrote NNIC in its post.
Above that, in the new mezzanine dining and shopping area, passengers can now explore new restaurants, cafés and shops
Last October 21, five dining and retail establishments were formally launched at the terminal’s North Wing departure airside. The new retail and dining space includes establishments like Kenny Rogers Roasters and Seattle’s Best Coffee on the second floor, and Paris Baguette, General’s Lechon and Travel Hub on the mezzanine level.
At the mezzanine dining space, large glass windows overlooking the passenger waiting area below and a view of the apron allows passengers to see the movement downstairs, and keep track of their flights through a nearby flight information display.
“The expansion is part of NNIC’s broader program to improve passenger facilities at NAIA, with additional dining and retail establishments being introduced alongside upgrades to airport infrastructure and operations,” the operator said in a statement.
