“So precious, Baby S.”

“So precious, Baby S.”

That is what Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi wrote in the caption of her Instagram post where she showed portion of the face of her newborn son.

The child, whom she previously shared to be named after her late father, Sergio, and was born on the same month as his grandfather.

In the replies section, Celeste received congratulatory messages from Bea Santiago, Samantha Bernardo, Chelsea Manalo, Roxie Smith, Angelica Lopez, Sandra Lemonon, as well as other personalities such as Dyan Castillejo and Gwen Zamora.

Before this, at the start of October, Celeste shared a post as she entered the last month of her pregnancy.

There, she showed her vulnerabilities in the nine months that she carried “Baby S.”

“Pregnancy has been one of the most challenging and humbling experiences I had to go through emotionally and mentally,” she wrote.

Cortesi said that she experienced my mental health at its lowest and felt “sadness, despair, anxiety, depression and at times, an overwhelming sense of loneliness,” all while “fighting in trying to stay healthy, take care of myself, facing challenges and balance my hormones.”

“Everything manifested in my skin, my mood, and my body,” she recalled. “I saw a version of me I could barely recognize and some days I struggled to look at myself and feel like me.”

Celeste also expressed her deep respect for all other mothers and told them that “whatever challenge you may be facing you are strong and you can get through anything because through all of it, the only thought that could always bring me back was the amazing work my body was doing in growing, nourishing and protecting baby S.”

She also said that discovered a strength within herself that she never knew she had and noted:  “Baby S has been growing inside me while, in so many ways, I have been growing too. 9 months of carrying you, and somehow you carried me too.”

And as she entered this new stage in her life, she hopes to see herself “healed, stronger, and ready to be [his] mommy.”

“Ti amo per sempre, my little angel,” she concluded the post.
