The volleyball star was one of the several personalities who joined a watch party organized for the game.
After the National Basketball Association (NBA) Watch Party organized by ESPN on Disney+ on Thursday, October 22, Trendrod caught up with Spikers’ Turf player Jared Schnake, who was elated by the results of the game.
The match, which ended with Los Angeles Lakers taking a 22-point lead against the Golden State Warriors, was a welcome development for him, who rooted for the former.
Jared also shared that he was also “very excited” by the results, which was made more great by it being the first-ever game of the Lakers following the departure of LeBron James from the team this year.
As regards to that, he also conveyed how he felt about not seeing one of the greatest players in the league’s history as part of the squad.
“He’s been on Lakers for a long time… He’s really good, but I believe he is past his prime. He’s still good, but I think the new guys will step up,” he told us.
The NBA is one of the properties of the newly-launched ESPN on Disney+ hub in the Philippines, which include the National Football League (NFL), Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), the U.S. National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and original programming from ESPN.
