This time, the experience that he shared was one that is more pleasurable than his previous vacation.
On Saturday, October 17, Korean pop idol Choi Soobin, a member of the boy band Tomorrow X Together (TXT), shared another episode of his SOOBIN.LOG personal diary on the team’s official YouTube channel.
In the 42-minute-long video, the 25-year-old packed the said vlog entry with different scenes from his life beyond the stage.
In the earlier minutes of the video, he came home to his family’s residence in Ansan, South Korea and bonded with his nephew and family dog, among other members of the household.
But in the latter half of the video, Soobin shifted gears and brought fans, the MOAs, along to his latest vacation to the Philippines with his friend.
“This time, our goal is scuba diving certification (Open Water Diving Certification),” he noted about their primary aim during this trip.
As soon as the landed in Manila, he also referenced his viral moment during his trip to Cebu earlier this year, which caused national headlines after a taxi driver engaged in price gouging and earned the ire of fans and local authorities.
“The taxi scene returns in the Philippines,” Soobin quipped. “But today, we used an app.”
Later on, he was seen dining at a restaurant to try local food, and had a tour around the Mall of Asia in Pasay City. He even shared a view from their hotel room and had fun by playing tennis.
Throughout the remainder of the video, the TXT member showcased clips from his scuba diving journey and he successfully completed the training sessions required to get the certificate.
“We finished all three dives. I kept worrying right up until we came here, asking if ‘what if can’t get the certificate?’,” he shared.
“Somehow, I’m very proud of myself now. I mean, for someone who’s afraid of water to be down that deep, I’m so proud for swimming around all by myself like that,” the 25-year-old furthered.
Soobin also said, “I never thought I would have done anything like that in my life and it feels good to know I’ve accomplished something else. I feel like I completed another challenge.”
Soobin, along with other members of TXT—Yeonjun, Taehyun, Beomgyu, and Huening Kai—visited the Philippines together back in March for a fan meeting in Manila.
In April, the team issued their most recent extended play entitled 7th Year: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns, which carried the lead single Stick With You.
