A star-studded celebration for the comedy institution.
For two consecutive Sundays on October 18 and 25, the Philippines’ longest-running gag show Bubble Gang on GMA will air its two-part 31st anniversary special.
Entitled TrenDta’y Uno, it will be having a mix of mainstays, led by Comedy Genius Michael V., and star-studded lineup of guests.
In an interview on the Kapuso flagship newscast 24 Oras, Bitoy shared: “A theme natin ngayon a trending, kaya TrenDta’y Uno ang subtitle ng ating 31st anniversary natin.”
He also added that social media has many trending topics and materials, as well as news.
“‘Yung mga ginagawa ninyo sa gobyerno, ituloy n’yo ‘yan! Pagkukunan namin ng inspirasyon ‘yan,” he jokingly continued.
According to the Kapuso Network, Bubble Gang will feature notable social media trends, personalities, and events that defined 2026 during the celebration.
Leading the pack is none other than seasoned journalist Jessica Soho, who will visit the set of Bubble Gang.
“Lagi kasing nag-te-trend ang KMJS, kaya kasama ‘yan sa mga topics namin. Si Miss Jess, kasangga talaga namin ‘yan pagdating dito sa comedy at sa Bubble Gang. I’m bery proud na kasama namin siya ulit dito at pinaunlakan n’ya ang aming imbitasyon sa kanya,” Michael V. said.
Confirmed to be making their comeback to the show are former cast members such as Wendell Ramos, Assunta de Rossi, Eric Fructuoso, Mikael Daez, Gwen Zamora, and Dasuri Choi.
Meanwhile Apl.de.Ap joins the sing-along in Istambay.
