She also revealed that she is currently battling another autoimmune disease.
After days of silence, Queen of All Media Kris Aquino has taken to social media to not only react about the issue regarding a podcast Tha degraded her son, Josh Aquino, but also give an update regarding her health condition.
“I have stopped giving you health updates because I’ve been afraid,” she noted. “There are not so great numbers and can you believe a new autoimmune disease that’s exhibiting scary symptoms.”
According to her, she finished all the work that she had, while also not revealing that she immediately needed to undergo another operation after.
She also thanked her doctors and nurses in Makati Medical Center, who respected her privacy. “The sutures aren’t out yet, but as soon as they are, time for my 3rd infusion of a biologic immunosuppressant that has helped,” Kris furthered.
Meanwhile, she also used the same post to respond to the controversial episode of the podcast Machong Chismisan, where hosts degraded her son by mocking his disability, as a person in the autism spectrum, and calling him “walang kwenta.”
The Queen of All Media wrote: “Many of you may have wondered why I gave no statement to what were irresponsible and uninformed opinions. A friend who I admire for his wisdom told me there are people I should learn not to give oxygen to, in other words ignore and the issue dies a natural death.”
“By never stating their names, or my feelings, they didn’t get the word war from me they were expecting,” she stressed.
There, Kris disclosed the sacrifices her sons have been making as she continues her fight against autoimmune diseases.
“I haven’t felt the need to share with you what happens in our home. But to set the record straight, kuya (Josh) is with me during our afternoon siesta, although mine stretches to 4 hours,” shared the showbiz icon.
She continued, “When he sees Bimb going to his computer, kuya knows it’s his shift. And he loves to say: Mama your shoulder’s here. I sleep best with my head resting on Kuya’s shoulder and my arms wrapped around his left arm.”
“It’s difficult because he can’t move but Monday to Friday kuya josh does his share to take care of his mama,” furthered the TV host-actress.
She then thanked her fans and supporters for their prayers and words of encouragement. “If i don’t post, I am in so much pain that i’m bedridden for 5 days, or if you don’t see reels— that’s the sign, i am in need of more prayers. I don’t want to add to your burdens,” Aquino said.
Kris also said that she read comments admiring her strength, noting that she is fighting every way she could for her children.
“I’ve read you admire my strength, that’s because i witnessed what our mom went through to prepare us, for life without her. I was 38 when she joined our maker,” she recalled the passing of her mother, Corazon “Cory” Aquino in 2009.
“Bimb still needs more years to be ready for his lifelong responsibility of taking care of his kuya josh. That’s why ang mama nila hindi pa pwedeng isuko ang laban,” she concluded her post.
In the replies section, her followers expressed their well wishes to Kris as she continues her healing process.
Fellow elebrities have also sent their messages of support to her, including Iza Calzado, Carmina Villaroel, Erik Santos, Dimples Romana, Cristine Reyes, Melai Cantiveros, Janno Gibbs, Bayani Agbayani, and Teddy Corpuz, among others.
