The film is set to hit theaters this December.
“Dalawang tao na nangangarap. Isang pamilyang bubuuin. Isang kwentong hindi nila inaasahan.”
That is yet another intriguing caption seen in the teaser video of the upcoming movie of the blockbuster tandem of Kin Chiu and Paulo Avelino.
Entitled A Perfect Marriage, it is one of the eight entries confirmed for the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) and is under the direction of Dan Villegas for Quantum Films.
In the teaser, their characters are seen struggling to conceive, with the couple also given the option of having an “embryo donation” by their doctor.
In latter part of the clip, a mysterious boy appears to be looking for Paulo’s character, leading to Kim discussing matters with him.
Aside from the duo, also announced to be part of this project is comedy icon Eugene Domingo and Zac Sibug.
A Perfect Marriage will be the latest in the slate of successful partnerships between Kim and Paulo over the years.
The two previously starred together in the hit infidelity-themed series Linlang in 2023, which was later followed by the Philippine adaptation of What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim? in 2024.
In 2025, they would charm audiences on the big screen through the movie My Love Will Make You Disappear, which raked in over PHP173 million in the box office, as well as their suspense-thriller series The Alibi—which aired its TV version earlier this year.
The tandem will also be seen in the upcoming series Kopino, which will debut on Prime Video in November 2026.
A Perfect Marriage, together with the seven other entries to the upcoming 52nd Metro Manila Film Festival, will hit theaters beginning December 25, 2026.
