A special encounter for the Filipino comedian.
In his social media posts on Wednesday, October 7, Dogshow Divas and Unang Hirit host Baus Rufo shared a moment that will forever be etched on his mind.
This, as the comedian-TV host shared that he finally met one of his “heroes,” or idols, who is none other than former Saturday Night Live cast member and Wicked star Bowen Yang.
The said encounter happened after Rufo watched Yang’s Oh Mary! Broadway show, with him having lined up outside for a few moments with his hero, who has been previously tagged to be his “lookalike” by netizens.
In another short video that he shared, Baus was also able to make Bowen give a shout out to the Dogshow Divas podcast.
“Hey, Dogshow Divas! You’ve made it,” Bowen repeated what Baus taught him prior to rolling.
“The queen has spoken,” quipped Baus.
In the comments section, other celebrities and content creators celebrated this interaction with Baus.
Lyn Ching, who is Baus’ fellow host in Unabg Hirit shared: “Oh my gahd Baus!!!!! I can’t believe it!!!! You found him!!!!”
“[Y]es! we were just talking about it last week,” Baus responded to her.
Meanwhile, Bianca Gonzalez wrote in her reply: “omgggg noooo wayyyyy aaaah so happy for you!!!!”
Others also pointed out their uncanny resemblance even side by side, with another content creator, Raco Ruiz, even jokingly suggesting that Baus should have his other “twin,” Bimby Aquino-Yap, with him next time.
The posts have since garnered more than 80,000 likes and counting across social media.
