Following her bronze-yielding performance at the recent 20th Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan, Filipina tennis star Alex Eala flew to Europe for a special event.
This, as she steps back from action on the court to join the Spring/Summer 2027 show of Chanel at the Paris Fashion Week in France.
The 21-year-old rising star rocked the show by wearing a simple, yet stylish combination of a tweed jacket, black shirt, and dark pants.
She showed the look in a post on her Instagram account, which she captioned: “Freedom, made tangible… A beautiful collision of heritage, movement and artistry.”
In different videos and photos taken at the event, Eala was also spotted with Keonho of the K-pop boy band CORTIS, who also attended the Fashion Week.
Eala was also reported to have been in attendance in other shows such as those by Tory Burch, Michael Kors, and Calvin Klein.
Before this, Alex competed in the 20th Asian Games’ tennis tournament as the top-seeded player in the women’s singles event and joined forces with Shaira Rivera in the women’s doubles.
The current world no. 18 was able to reach the quarterfinals in the women’s singles, but fell to Chinese player Wang Xiyu to bag a bronze medal.
Eala and Rivera also ended their doubles journey after losing the Chinese tandem of Jiang Xinyu and Yang Zhaoxuan.
Nonetheless, it has been a remarkable season for Eala, as she set various records throughout the year such as her historic placement in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) index, as well as getting her first WTA Tour trophy from the DC Open—a first for any Filipina—to name a few of her achievements.
