He is the newest member of the “Pamilya Ni Kuya.“
On Monday, October 5, GMA Network and ABS-CBN jointly announced the newest co-host of the long-running reality show Pinoy Big Brother, which is making its comeback this month with its Collab 3.0 season.
Kapuso star Michael Sager, who is an alum of the Celebrity Collab Edition that aired in 2025, is back on the show to join Bianca Gonzales, Robi Domingo, Gabbi Garcia, Melai Cantiveros, Enchong Dee, and Alexa Ilacad in the team.
In his interview on 24 Oras, the 24-year-old Sparkle star said that he is excited to become part of the Pamilya Ni Kuya.
“I’m always so excited to share my experience and ‘yung journey ko,” he said. “Feeling ko naman, lahat ng housemates na pumasok sa bahay ni Kuya, iba-iba ang journey nila, pero it’s something that they are grateful for and it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
“Ngayon, makikita ko na sila from a different perspective,” the new co-host added.
Meanwhile, he also shared his tips for the set of regular housemates who will participate this season.
“Enjoy the ride! Kasi ang bahay ni Kuya, ‘pag nasa eviction ka na or sa Big Night, you’ll realize na tapos na pala,” with Michael also calling it as a “surreal” experience.
Meanwhile, in an Instagram post, Michael said: “Hello Philippines, Hello World, we are so back!”
“Grateful to be given a new task by kuya… this time as his host :)” the Kapuso personality added.
This season will also make history as the upcoming set of contestants will become the first to experience living together inside a new house where the show will be produced moving forward.
The former site of the house, located right across the ELJ Communications Center in Quezon City, was closed down for good last April after hosting its last-ever set of contestants during the Celebrity Collab 2.0 season that ended its run last February.
The former house sat on a land that was previously leased by ABS-CBN and became the site where all of the past 18 editions of the hit franchise were produced in the past two decades.
Furthermore, it was also briefly used for another format, Pinoy Dream Academy, as well as a training camp for Star Hunt trainees, which include P-pop groups BINI and BGYO.
“We will be moving to a new PBB house which will be more cost efficient for us,” ABS-CBN COO Cory Vidantes noted in the Annual Stockholders Meeting, but did not reveal the location of thebnew PBB house.
Collab 3.0 will be a regular season, with participants expected to be Filipinos aged 18 to 35 years old.
