Amid the buzz surrounding the Popstar Royalty.

At the recent event by the Film Development Council of the Philippines last September 30 (Wednesday), Viva Entertainment chairman Vic Del Rosario was asked by press regarding any update regarding original Filipino music (OPM) icon Sarah Geronimo.

For weeks, users on social media were intrigued by her personal life, specifically regarding her possible pregnancy with her first child with husband and actor Matteo Guidicelli.

That stemmed from photos where Sarah appears to be intentionally hiding her tummy from the camera.

In response, Del Rosario said in jest: “Next year magtatrabaho na. ’Yun lang ang masasabi ko.”

The big boss noted that at he does not want the news to come from him, but he can only comment on the singer-actress’ ability to work for now.

“Ayokong manggaling sa akin, pero parang alam naman ng mga tao na hindi siya puwedeng magtrabaho. Hanggang dun lang,” he said. “Sa ngayon, e, hindi pa siya puwedeng magtrabaho, pero next year (okay na). Dahil, ano, she’s enjoying her happy life.”

Sarah and Matteo began their relationship in 2013, although it was not publicized until a year later. In 2020, the couple surprised the nation after news about their wedding broke, which was also marred with controversy.

Moving past that, in the recent years, Sarah and Matteo have begun building their own suite of businesses.

It began with their G Productions outfit, which was followed by their physical studio, and most recently, their label G Music was launched in July.
