The show will premiere next week.
In a series of posts on his social media page, seasoned actor Filipino actor Joel Torre shared snapshots with his fellow cast members in the Japanese mega-series kiDnap Game.
In the pictures, he was spotted with several big names from different countries in Asia. Among them are Korean star Lee Joon-gi and Japanese actor-model Kentaro Sakaguchi, who will play key roles in the program.
Kentaro Sakaguchi will be playing the role of investigator Toshiro Niide, while Lee Joon-gi will portray Han Kijoo, a surgeon whose daughter is abducted, forcing him to enter the dangerous game.
Apart from them, also part of the series are Taiwanese actress Alice Ko, Hong Kong actor Stanley Yau from Hong Kong, Singaporean actress Carrie Wong, and Thai actress Plue-Nalponkamon Chaisen.
Torre also took a photo with Wong, which he shared in another post.
The seasoned Filipino actor will play the part of Miguel, described as a “friendly taxi driver from Manila who has endured poverty since childhood,” but his life will change after his grandchild was forcibly taken from him, which will lead him to fight for his family.
Produced by Fuji TV, the series will start with the simultaneous kidnappings in seven Asian cities, specifically, Tokyo, Seoul, Manila, Bangkok, Taipei, Singapore, and Naha.
One of the victims’ family will receive an mail that reads, “You have been entered into the kidnap game. How far will you go to save your loved one? Only one person can be saved.“
Each participant in this game will be given a different instruction to save their loved one, which they must complete before the other participants.
The story will then revolve on why these people have become participants, who is the organizer, and their purpose.
It will be released across the region on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
