He even left a comment on a previous televised interview of the former partner of his wife, Jennylyn Mercado.
Following his not-so-cryptic response to the recent interview of actor Patrick Garcia with Ogie Diaz on Wednesday, September 30, Dennis Trillo uploaded a video on his social media account.
Through a short reel on his page, the Kapuso Drama King playfully did a “bag review” that was filled with a number of cryptic messaging.
Flexing his red tote bag, Dennis said that his bag is lightweight and can hold many items. But the catch is, the quote printed on the said bag reads: “Not today, Satan.”
In the end of the video, he posed the question: “Ano ang bag mo?”
While he did not name anyone, a notable commenter replied: “Magsuntukan nga kayo ni Patrick.” To which, he said in jest: “Hindi ako napatol sa starfish,” referencing the popular animated character from SpongeBob Squarepants.
Meanwhile, Trillo also took time to reply and even share a clip of Garcia’s old interview in Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, where the former partner of his wife was asked to describe himself as son and father.
“The struggle is real,” Dennis simply wrote in both the comment and the story that he has since deleted.
His actions come in response to the interviews of Patrick with Ogie Diaz, where he brought up past circumstances in his relationship with Jennylyn, especially during her pregnancy with their only son, Jazz Mercado.
There, Garcia also revealed that he has no communication with Mercado and their son since 2018, and have not delivered any sustenance since then.
Meanwhile, through her agency, Jennylyn has already responded to the matter.
“Our artist, Jennylyn Mercado, will not comment or grant any interviews regarding Patrick Garcia’s statements on Ogie Diaz’s YouTube channel,” they said.
“Everyone is entitled to share their story on whatever platform they choose. In this case, Jennylyn would rather not share her side of the story out of respect for the privacy and peace of mind of both her family and Patrick’s.”
They also conveyed Jennylyn’s request for the public to stop the hate and refrain from bashing Patrick’s family, especially his daughter, Michelle.
“Rest assured that Jennylyn and her son, Jazz, are living a good and happy life with her husband, Dennis, daughter Dylan, and stepson Calix. Thank you,” the statement concluded.
