Although, he said that he held on to one thing that kept him running.
In a post on his Instagram account, newly crowned Mister Cosmopolitan 2026 wrote his post-competition message, where he both celebrated the win and expressed gratitude to the people around him.
Foremost, he began by mentioning a Bible verse from Philippians 4:6, which is “Do not worry about anything, instead pray for everything.”
“This journey was never easy. A few months ago, I lost my father-the hardest chapter of my life. I lost interest in everything and almost gave up on myself,” he recalled.
However, the pageant king said that he held on to one thing, which is faith. “I trusted that God had a greater plan,” he added.
“From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank everyone who became part of this journey,” John wrote, continuing by expressing his deepest gratitude to the Mister Cosmopolitan organization, Mister Pilipinas Worldwide, and other people who helped him behind-the-scenes.
“To my family, friends, and love ones who have always been cheering for me since day one, especially to my father watching over me from heaven, I hope I made you even more proud. You taught me to never give up, to remain humble, and to always treat people with respect. THIS VICTORY IS FOR YOU, BOY!” he added.
Of course, he also did not miss the opportunity to thank the public who supporter him in his journey.
“And last but not least, to every Filipino who supported me thank you for believing in me and carrying this dream with me. Your love, prayers, and support brought me this far,” sakd Bonifacio.
He also left a reminder: “To everyone with a noble heart-always choose to treat people with respect and kindness. Because, what you do in life reflects in return.”
To conclude his message, he said: “THIS CROWN IS OURS, MABUHAY PILIPINAS.”
Hailing from Pampanga, the 27-year-old is a former overseas Filipino worker (OFW) before transitioning to the world of modeling and pageantry.
Bonifacio is also the latest Pinoy pageant king to score a major win or placement on the international stage, with his fellow Mister Pilipinas Worldwide winner Felipe Marasigan securing a Top 20 finish at the Mister Supranational pageant last August being one of the most recent ones.
