They are the latest duo from the band to be launched.
On Wednesday, September 23, Korean music agency Pledis Entertainment announced that K-pop stars Jeonghan and Joshua, members of the boy band SEVENTEEN, will officially be launched as a sub-unit in less than a months’ time.
Both stars will promote under the name JEONGHAN X JOSHUA and are slated to unveil their first mini album entitled Dreamscape on October 19 (Monday).
According to the company, the said album’s derives its title from the word “dreamscape” that means landscape of dreams.
It added, the album will explore two dimensions of dreaming, which are “unconscious fantasies, and ideals we aspire to make real.”
“Through music, the album traces the endless cycle and collision of these two kinds of dreams — fantasies born from the unconscious and ideals pursued in reality — as they blur the boundaries between reality and fantasy and open up a new sensory world,” the company furthered.
They also expressed the promise that Jeonghan and Joshua will deliver a “captivating audiovisual experience, drawing on the aesthetic tension created as the boundary between the two begins to dissolve.”
SEVENTEEN is known multiple hit tracks like Pretty U, Aju Nice, Don’t Wanna Cry, Clap, Oh My, Home, Hit, Fear, Left and Right, Home; Run, Ready To Love, Hot, and Super, among others.
Recently, they announced a three-year-long hiatus from group activities in light of the said military service enlistment of members. In addition, all 13 members have also renewed their individual contracts with Pledis Entertainment.
